The staff were an exceptionally nice family. Helped with everything starting with a welcome drink and ending by hailing our bus down to the next town. They also arranged our safari for the cheapest price we had come by, with an excellent guide.

Nous sommes d’abord aller au marché choisir les ingrédients et ensuite nous avons appris à faire un excellent Rice and Curry. Super expérience qu’on recommande fortement! Vous ne pouvez pas vous tromper avec ce logement, vous vous sentirez comme chez vous.

From the very beginning, everything was perfectly organized by Buddika, who managed our transfers, meals, accommodation, and safari experience with incredible professionalism and kindness. He personally arranged our pick-up from Negombo, coordinated the drive to Wilpattu, and took care of every detail of our stay. The following day, we enjoyed a full-day safari in Wilpattu National Park, which I highly recommend! We were lucky enough to spot sloth bears, leopards, and elephants—a truly unforgettable experience. Moni Farmhouse is brand new and beautifully designed. It felt like staying in a private suite surrounded by nature, offering peace, comfort, and total immersion in the wilderness. All our meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—were freshly prepared and delicious. After our stay, Buddika also arranged our transfer to Anuradhapura, making everything seamless and stress-free. We are deeply grateful to Buddika for his warm welcome and outstanding hospitality. Thanks to him, our journey through Sri Lanka started in the best possible way. Highly recommended!

Excellent location, few steps from the gate of the National Park! Room was very comfortable and very clean. Bed was super comfortable too and mosquito net provided. Air con was a welcome relief from the heat. Bathroom was also spacious and clean, hot water was great. The owner was the sweetest man, his nephew messaged to ask if I wanted dinner, I declined, but the owner knocked on my door to give me fruit and ice cream so I wouldn’t go hungry at night. So sweet! His nephew also provided me with a welcome drink and even took me on the safari. Highly recommend doing the safari with them, they were the most affordable and they really considered what animals I wanted to see and tried their best to find them. The breakfast, lunch and snacks were so good! I was very well fed! They were very accommodating to me and really put in effort to help me when my card had issues. I will definitely stay with them again.

The owner was very welcoming and helpful since our arrival, he helped us organize all our excursions and he gave us great recommendations on where to go. We had an issue with the air conditioning in one of our rooms and he fixed it immediately. The breakfast was very good as well.

We had a wonderful stay at Sweet Home Tourist Rest, Cooking Classes & Tours. The comfort level was top-notch — everything was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room came with its own living room, making it feel like a full apartment rather than just a guest room. For a very reasonable price, we had a completely private space to ourselves, which we really appreciated. The location is also ideal — the area is peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. A special thanks to Nilukshan, who organized some truly extraordinary tours for us, including the Wilpattu safari, and visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale. Each one was memorable and perfectly arranged, giving us deep insights into the history and beauty of the region. We also took part in a cooking class conducted by Malsha, which was another highlight of our stay. The class was hands-on, fun, and absolutely delicious — we learned a lot and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area — it’s more than just accommodation, it’s an experience!

Notre hôte, très charmant nous a organisé nos 3 journées passées ici Jour 1: il nous conduit en tuctuc jusqu’au rocher de Pidurangala. Ascension difficile mais vue extraordinaire sur le Rocher de Sigiriya. Jour 2 : safari en jeep proche de Harabana. On a vu des dizaines d’éléphants. Magnifique. Jour3: visite en tuctuc jusqu’à Sigiriya. On découvre la campagne environnante . Nous avons passé 3 jours merveilleux avec cette famille pleine d’attention 😊

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness. The host, Palitha, was incredibly hospitable — it really felt like staying with family. One of the highlights of our trip was exploring the nearby temples with Palitha’s tuk-tuk. Not only did he take us to the main historical sites, but he also gave us detailed explanations and background stories that made the visits so much more meaningful. You can tell he’s passionate about sharing the history and culture of Anuradhapura. The guesthouse itself is quiet and peaceful, right by the lake, with clean and comfortable rooms. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. We would definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting Anuradhapura — especially if you’re looking for authentic hospitality and a deeper understanding of the city’s ancient heritage.
