It is very peaceful with the most beautiful sunsets on the island and a great and affordable bar just next door - take a walk on the beach. It is a simple accommodation with all the basics you need. If you love nature, camping and being surrounded by animals - this is the place for you. We especially loved Moka, the dog who will follow you around and provide loads of protection. The staff were so helpful, the breakfasts were delicious and very reasonably priced. It was so affordable! I highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

Tapihouse San Juan Del Sur is an accommodation situated in San Juan del Sur, 300 metres from San Juan del Sur Beach and 3.8 km from Christ of the Mercy Nicaragua. The hotel is very well located, close to everything you need. The breakfast is delicious and prepared with great care and attention. Rafa is an excellent host, always ready to help with anything you need. We highly recommend it!

The rooms are nice and They are cleaning the room every single day ,changing the bed and towels, that is definitely a plus . Jose , the owner, is really helpful and great, will inform you about everything , tours, transport , what to do and visit. The kitchen is large and well equipped, good organisation. Go for it and you will enjoy it !!

Featuring mountain views, El Güis hostel provides accommodation with patio, around 12 km from Maderas Volcano. There is an on-site restaurant and free private parking. The guest house features family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. This was easily one of the best hostels if have stayed at. The host family is extremly welcoming and organizes everything you could want (taxi, bikerental, kayaktour) at good prices. The room was cleaned every day and we were given fresh towels daily as well. The breakfast (can only recommend adding that) is delicious and filling. There was a hiccup with the communication via booking.com (it had overbooked the room and when we got there a solution was already provided. I cannot overstate how nice and generous the hostess Odelba and her family was. Jutst thank you for making our stay this wonderful!

The guest house has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. We LOVED Red Pepper! We originally booked for 10 days and ended up staying for 20. Mark and Mariken were wonderful, and were so generous with their time and knowledge of the area. We loved having the peace and quiet of our private rooftop. After travelling for 8 months, Red Pepper was the first place we extended our stay—twice! The Monday curry and Wednesday noodles can’t be beat. We cooked almost all of our meals except Monday and Wednesdays because we loved Marks cooking so much. We opted to rent an additional fan to help keep us cool at night. It’s about a 15 minute walk to Finca, where you can rent boards and surf the Popoyo break, and about 25min to Beginners Bay. We enjoyed the walk as a warm-up for surfing!

Hammocks to chill and cold Toñas to enjoy. I booked for one night but wil stay a few more days. Nice local area with small shops and restaurants in walking distance. Lots of nature and San Ramón waterfal and Maderas volcano both close by. Good WiFi & friendly staff.

The recently renovated Horizonte Nica Guest House is situated in San Juan del Sur, near San Juan del Sur Beach and Christ of the Mercy Nicaragua. Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and room service, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. I received a warm welcome from a very nice lady and two cute kids. The room was just what I needed, a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom with a shower, and a strong fan at a fantastic price! I slept like a baby. Horizonte is on an alley street very close to the beach, and all bars and restaurants, so it was the perfect location - on a quiet street, but close to all of the action. The whole family was very warm and engaging. I will stay again.
