This is my first stay with a complimentary breakfast basket which was very nice. It also has casting and Apple TV which I really appreciated and isn’t common in other stays. We went in off-season and enjoyed the fireside by the sea before a concert, but would love to come back for the summer season since it has a very nice beach access and lounge area by the sand.

Periwinkle has been completely renovated to a high standard and was designed by Nantucket Looms. The inn is set to reopen Memorial Day Weekend, 2023!

This Nantucket inn is within walking distance to central Nantucket. The Whaling Museum and White Heron Theatre Company are both less than 150 metres from the Periwinkle. It was conveniently located in the centre of the village. Bright airy and lovely to see the rabbits in the garden every day.

Fine food and cocktails are served on-site at l’Etoile, which serves dinner nightly. Breakfast baskets are delivered each morning between 8:00 and 8:15. They include fresh fruit, orange juice, coffee, overnight oat, curated egg dish and homemade sweet and savory pastries. Everything. Well appointed. Lovely property in an area of attractive small stores for shopping, excellent restaurants, access to Chappaquiddick Island and the water and beaches. Manager Helen even served hot chocolate-chip cookies mid-afternoon. Breakfast was simple but interesting with fruit smoothies, hard-boiled eggs, muffins, breads, croissants, granola and yoghurt. Always excellent coffee. Enjoyed the outdoor firepit with comfortable seating. We had a reserved parking spot (although it was an extra charge)

This inn had such a nice atmosphere. The room was big, very very clean. Lots of little thoughtful touches: a full size soap dispenser with pump, coffee machine with creamer, different teas, a couple of water bottles, lots of places to put and hang your things, lots of electric outlets. We enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of the waterfall. Right across the bridge there's a nice tavern that serves cocktails and excellent brick oven pizza. I think it's now my favourite inn in the Amherst area.
