The generous welcome platter of local cheeses and ham, along with a bottle of champagne. An unexpectedly generous breakfast, consisting of a selection of brioche breads, and the fridge filled with an assortment of produce. Very comfortable and good sized bed, with lights over the bed resembling a night sky. In door and private jacuzzi and steam room to use at your own leisure was a big bonus! Also the general area is absolutely beautiful and the neighbourhood is so quite.

I stopped here on a motorbike trip with a friend. The property was amazing and very spacious. We an area to park the bikes and they were secure. It had everything you could need and more. 100% would visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely, peaceful and picturesque location. It is remote, but that adds to it's charm. There is a nearby canal with lock, fishing regions and a small UK-forces memorial close-by. The hosts are very nice, and Alison went out of her way to help us with a small vehicle issue we had, and her English was better than our French, so that was appreciated too. The property includes a gorgeous lake and grounds, for your parusal, and a seating/BBQ area. In the house, the kitchen has almost everything one might need, and I have to say that the showers were the best and most powerful we had used for a long time. All in all, a lovely stay and we might like to return again in the future. Alison, if you can, please offer some water to the memorial some times, as I planted new flowers there. Merci.

It felt as though we were the first people to occupy this property. All the furnishings were very comfortable and the equipment seemed brand new. The house is in a superb, peaceful setting. Outside the back of the house you have a lovely patio with comfortable table and chairs surrounded by woodland. Step out of the front and you are in an idyllic, historic setting with an old water mill, a stream and a beautiful bridge leading to the town centre. Maroilles is full of history, and so pretty, with lovely shops, bars and restaurants. We came to cycle in the area and picked up some useful maps and information from the Tourist Office which is a few minutes walk away. The surrounding countryside is stunning. We would not hesitate to recommend this property
