Gorgeous cosy cottage, beautifully and sensitively renovated to a very high standard. A lovely thoughtful welcome pack awaited us on the kitchen table, everything was spotlessly clean. It was bitterly cold weather during our stay but we were as warm as toast in the cottage . Very comfortable beds and a super strong shower in the ensuite. One little suggestion, a caddy or shelf in the shower would be very useful, as there was no where to put shampoo bottles etc. ( a very minor issue!) There are Recycling boxes to the side of the cottage and a sturdy table and benches in the garden. Great location , 2 minutes walk from plenty of lovely shops, great pubs and restaurants. Pickering is a lovely town with the friendliest of people everywhere we went. We would highly recommend Dovecote , to everyone, just bear in mind that there's are lots of steps up and down to various rooms, as you might expect in an old cottage.
