The cabin had a great view of the lake and the mountains, the interior was charmy and thoughtful. The host was very helpful, provided us with everything we needed and even let us borrow 3 kajaks free of charge. For the Lord of the Rings fans: the crew used to stay at this place when they were filming nearby (scene for the Anduin river; perfect way to use the kajaks and to have the fellowship experience yourself). At the reception you can find the original thank you letter from Peter Jackson and the crew as well as some of the requisites used in the movie.

Conveniently located. There’s a good restaurant across the road. There’s a side gate to the main road. Parking in front of the accommodation.

The self-catering accommodation features shared toilets and shower blocks as well as shared kitchen facilities. Guests can relax in the evening with satellite TV. There is a gazebo with cooking facilities. Merrill was super accommodating! The huts were comfortable and exactly what we were looking for. The shared kitchen and bathroom was tidy and well kept. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would both return in a heartbeat! Great launching pad to go and check out hikes in the surrounding area.
