I had an injury and needed to take a break for a few days. I basically ended up in paradise. Staff was super helpful, the breakfast was incredible, the space is a dream, and the rooms lovely. Couldn't have asked for more.

Wonderful GuestHouse in the centre of Samaipata. The breakfast was amazing, with lots of fruit, yoghurt, granola, eggs and both sweet and mais pancakes. The hosts were also really helpful and friendly, they made homemade chocolate cake and we could even take a shower on the day that we were leaving after a long hike. Would 100% recommend!

Bert, the Owner of the Hostel, is really nice! Right after we booked a Room at his place he contacted us via WhatsApp and gave us all the information we needed to get to his place from Santa Cruz. Because of a Roadblock we arrived after 6 hours. Bert was always in contact with us and even made us some Food so we didn’t have to go hungry to Bed. On the next day his staff gave us recommendations what to do in Samaipata and helped us plan our next stop in Sucre. The room we booked was really clean and the view is spectacular. We loved our stay at Hostel Serena and would definitely come back!

Overall our stay was good! The beds were comfortable and the terrace upstairs has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The property is a bit of a walk from the main town but this wasn’t a problem.
