This accommodation proved to be an excellent choice for breaking up our long journey to the Netherlands. The German town itself is charming, with an interesting monument overlooking it and a lookout tower on the opposite hill that's worth exploring. Our stay was absolutely flawless – the rooms were spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was delightful. The owner was particularly memorable, cheerfully commenting on how most of his guests are passing through to Holland, which added a nice personal touch to our experience. The view of a small quiet square with a fountain and the nice mattresses and bedding and perfectly blacked out windows will make you sleep like a baby. If you stay here, don't miss dining at "Zum seriösen Fußgänger" restaurant in the neighboring town of Minden – it's truly exceptional. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked it again for our return journey and revisited the restaurant for another wonderful dinner.
