It was excellent value for money and they served the ‘best’ coffee !! Unfortunately it was a sunday night and their restaurant was closed as was everywhere else so we were a bit stuck for an evening meal after a long drive but they were happy for us to order Uber eats and take it to our room.

You may arrive and think nobody is about but wait till 5pm and this small town comes alive. Accommodation is very central. Parking could be tricky but we managed and my husband has one leg. Breakfast was ample including eggs. Fabulous

A very cozy boarding house located in a small and quiet mountain village. Clean rooms with fresh, pleasant renovation and beautiful views. The owner is a very nice person, he personally greets guests and works in the kitchen. The restaurant has a spacious hall inside the hotel and a summer terrace, which is very popular.

Entre el mar y la montaña is a recently renovated homestay in Jijona, where guests can make the most of its open-air bath and shared lounge. The property features quiet street views.

Quite a find. Lovely location in the heart of the old town, beautiful views from the terrace (mostly of the rain in my case but hey ho). Staff were very friendly and accommodating. There's a separate storage are where I was able to keep my bike dry off the street (not sure if this is always an option but I was very grateful). Can imagine it would be tough to access by car, otherwise pretty much faultless.

This was the second time we stayed here, so we knew we were going to a friendly and comfortable place with a huge double bed. The house allows you to experience how people used to live - but in a world of wifi, heaters, hot shower and a well equipped kitchen.
