Our hostess could not have been kinder or more welcoming and our breakfast next morning was simply superb. We enjoyed our comfortable and pretty room upstairs on the very top floor which had a nice bathroom for our exclusive use next door.  We had the whole floor to ourselves, so nothing disturbed us or our dog who was warmly welcomed also. We found the Euskadi to be excellent value for money, especially in a busy holiday area, and being able to park there securely was much appreciated too. Two beautiful beaches are just a short stroll away from the house (but note that dogs are not permitted on the beaches from May to the end of September) and there are some lovely short walks overlooking the sea nearby.  We found an great little restaurant just minutes from the B&B and our dog was warmly welcomed there too.  All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay in Bidart and at the Euskadi. Merci beaucoup!

Pierre is a fantastic person, the best host you can imagine. He lent me his car to go to Decathlon to buy some trekking poles, then said I could use it to go for a walk downtown—unbelievable! I declined the second offer! In the morning, he made me breakfast at 5:30 a.m., and at 6:00 a.m., he drove me to the station to catch the train to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and start the Camino de Santiago. The building is a 15-minute walk from the airport and a 25-minute walk from the train station. The house is perfect, the room well-organized, and above all, the host's helpfulness made this stay a unique experience. Thank you so much, Pierre, I will never forget you!

The property was handy for the motorway north. We had a well equipped bedroom and ensuite. A lovely breakfast with homemade jams and pastries. After eating breakfast we wished we had booked for dinner. Maybe next time?

We were fortunate to have the house to ourselves and that was a surprise because this is a beautiful chambre d'hote in a lovely setting, just a short distance from Bayonne. Bruno and Valerie were very welcoming and helpful and the arrangements they make for their guests are superb. The shared little kitchen adds so much to the very good services in their spacious rooms. We managed to wash our cycling gear, which was kindly dried for us. The evening planche of cruditees and cheese was so thoughtful and met our dietary needs as did the delightful breakfast. Conversations were enjoyable and interesting and our time with our delightful hosts was a pleasure.

A very beautiful hotel, with a character and 500 year history which has been sympathetically enhanced by the current owners. Each room is individually decorated to give you a unique experience. If you are walking the GR10 you will enjoy the additional facilities, fridges in the room etc, and the owner's willingness to give you a good and early breakfast, to set you up for the day ahead. Paco even gave me his bike to explore the area after enough walking for one day! If your stay is more of a gentle tour, the village has a good restaurant, a lovely bar serving excellent sandwiches, and an unusual galleried and very ancient church. If I am ever back in the Basque country, this will be the hotel for me, 100%;🙂
