Closeness to nature, which is still unspoiled. Lots of birds, fishes and ofcourse the marine life that is easy accessible from PapuArts Alter Native Stay. Family feeling; easily to feel at home with this lovely family of four (Helga, Timon and their 2 beautiful young daughters who love to make friends). Oh, and I forgot their two sweet dogs Ringo & Dingo 🐾🐾 Owners are very helpful and speak several languages so easy to communicate with them. Internet is sometimes a bit unstable so take that into account when expecting speedy replies (sometimes it just doesn’t work and patience is a good thing to have). The food - home style cooking (breakfast, lunch and dinner are all cooked by the owner and her team and she is a great cook; we loved every meal which was perfectly catered to our vegetarian / pescatarian wishes) The rooms are close to nature as well, with very comfy beds (we stayed in both the smaller and the biggest family room, which easily fits 3 respectively 4 people; the 3rd bed in the smaller room has a wonderful treehouse feeling and there is a bunkbed in the biggest room). Hard to capture the beauty of the rooms in just one picture (I took several but could only post one here with my review). You can hear the sea and birds from your bedroom. It’s right next to you. No frills, just natural materials, which we loved. Also no warm water, but easily to get used to. There’s a shower and mandi style shower. Also your own toilet. Plus the blue blue sea right at your doorstep and a lovely sitting area with a hammock to complete the zen-feeling. There’s a long jetty into the sea with a perfect spot for exercise/meditation/yoga at the end. Fitness with a view! It’s quiet and feels very private. You instantly feel relaxed here. Different excursions to choose from, both on land and on/under the sea. Please note: these come at an extra cost and Raja Ampat area is not cheap!!!! It was the best homestay I’ve been in my month in raja ampat. They are professional and they thought of many importants détails to make your stay comfortable. They had healthy options for the meals. They have a great communication and answer your questions, need and boat trip organization very fast.

We came to raja ampat to dive. The days in Raja Ampat is the most unforgettable vacation I've ever had, and the stay at Nyande was just beyond my expectation. Both in the facilities and the price performance. Upon arrival the bungalows and the elevated restaurant impressed me, you can just tell how meticulous the owner was and how much efforts he has paid in designing his place. Rooms were comfortable, food was nice. What significantly added to the value is the beautiful house reef and the mangrove tree at the middle of the rooms. Simply going snorkeling will get you stunned with the beautiful corel and many fishes. And the mangrove had surprises in store (we saw a big, color-changing cuttlefish under it, just as what we saw on tv). Going diving was also conviently arranged with nearby dive shops at reasonable price. I came here after a 10-day stay at a well-know resort in Gam Island. I'd confidently say Nyande is no less (or even more) amazing than that resort which is twice the price of Nyande. I won't write so much unless I truly feel pleased or even grateful to a place where I spent a few days. And Nyande and its owner Andy was definitely worthwhile me doibg so!

We had a wonderful stay at Nyanse Homestay! The food is delicious, plentiful, and very varied. There are also many vegetarian options. The family is very friendly, and there are excursions available. We booked a jungle tour and snorkeling with manta rays, and we were not disappointed. We also saw blacktip reef sharks near the homestay. The restrooms are functional but clean, and there was always plenty of hand soap and toilet paper. If the village generator fails, Nyanse Homestay can produce electricity with its own generator, so you have light and can charge your phone overnight. We recommend Nyanse Homestay 100% and would return anytime.

The host are fantastic. The room is big and clean!

The hostess is incredibly friendly and helpful, always smiling and trying to address any of your requests. She speaks very good English, communicates very efficiently and has a in-depth knowledge of the activities in Waisai and surrounding islands. Highly recommended.

Thanks to Aron, the host, it was an exceptional experience during our stay. We've visited almost every location for snorkeling and diving on Raja Ampat (you should pay for the boat). We'd a very diverse menu and a true natural Papua environment.

We had an amazing time in Frances Homestay! Food was great, lots of it actually🙂 Frances is so helpful and friendl alongside the rest of the people on the island. We went snorkelling everyday, our guide was knowledgeable and made us feel secure. The bugalow is so big compared to other ones in Raja Ampat, you will have the best view from your terrace, sunset is absolutely amazing. The reef is also fascinating around the house.

To be honest I felt a bit lost when I got to Raja Ampat. I was solo travelling and didint have much of a plan on what to do/see. Getting to Gibran made my stay in Raja Ampat memorable. The location is great and the rooms are very nice, nothing to fancy but very aligned with what you should expect of a place like Raja Ampat. Mimi and Julia where incredible hosts. They are one of the few planing trips to nearby locations which is great if you dont scuba dive or need a break. Other then that they would help you with anything you need. To me they felt like family, muchas gracias de corazon!
