First time staying in hostel, wasnt sure how all works regarding shared things,information was provided yes and all read. Very happy that you still had your personal little house and toilet. Location was perfect ,stayed one night and very affordable,if needed would definetely come back.

We had the loveliest stay, from the cosy room, to the kitchen area, to the lovely decor touches, the sheep, the amazing breakfast, the crazy beautiful views and the lovely hosts. Elín is a wonderful host. Her house is perfectly clean and tidy, well decorated and complete with all the amenities you would expect. The location is perfect, just 10 minutes out of Höfn by car so it is lovely and quiet, while Vatnajökull National Park is roughly 1 hours drive away. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to use and we had no problems during our stay. If you have a large group it's the perfect place to stay with shared living space, or if you are only booking one room it's perfect for meeting other travellers and sharing travel tips whilst still having some privacy in your own room. All in all this was the perfect base for exploring the south coast of Iceland and we would definitely stay again!
