This was one of my favourite accommodations during my trip to Japan. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and big bonus that they even have their own bistro/restaurant within the guest house. We ate there twice (once lunch, once dinner) out of convenience, and because after 6pm not a lot of restaurants are open in Miyoshi. The menu was extensive and featured a lot of gibier / game dishes which this area is famous for (we enjoyed deer and wild boar). The prices are also quite fair and the portions large. The room was very comfortable (tatami room), and it's a less than 5min walk from the train station, from where you can easily travel down towards Iya Valley / Kochi, and back towards Okayama to catch a Shinkansen.

This is such a lovely location, the restored traditional village is amazing. We met very friendly and hospitable locals who took us to their secret bar and others who entertained us royally in the restaurant. The guesthouse is simple, stylish and traditional. Shared living space with the family. Feels very traditional living. Go to the restaurant Oden in the village it's a lot of fun.

Place was adequate for what we had intended. We only needed a place to sleep and shower as we were touring on bicycles. Place was comfortable and clean, instructions to get to accommodation and into our rooms was straight forward.
