Lovely, accommodating family. Looked after us well. Host took us on an informal safari trip to see animals truly in the wild and history of local boulders. Great pool. Excellent food. Beautiful unspoilt beach but not for swimming.

Fantastic people who owns the place. They are very caring and make your stay wonderful! The room was very nice and the food was good. Nice location with peacocks and lizards in the garden. Green and beautiful nature around the hotel. A great place with great people!!

I had an incredible experience at Kingfisher Beach Resort, and I cannot recommend it enough! The owner, Shehan, is an exceptional host—kind, helpful, and incredibly talented. Not only is he a great chef who prepared the most delicious lobster and fresh fish, but he’s also a skilled therapist. After an amazing safari, where I was lucky enough to see a leopard and a bear, Shehan’s relaxing massage was exactly what I needed to unwind. The resort itself is beautifully maintained, with clean and well-equipped rooms that provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. There’s a stunning natural saltwater pool within walking distance, and the beach feels like your own private paradise. Shehan’s knowledge of the wildlife is impressive, making the safari even more special. His passion for the animals and the surrounding nature is truly inspiring. I only stayed for one night, but I wish I had booked at least three! It’s the perfect place to relax, enjoy fresh seafood paired with excellent white wine and cold beer, and immerse yourself in nature. Thank you, Shehan, for your hospitality and hard work. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Wishing you all the best!

Very beautiful recently build luxury establishment and super staff. The room was amazing and the pool was clean with warm water. They also offer tasteful dinner a la carte which is convenient after a safari. Highly recommended!

The location within green rice fields is stunning. The food was tasty and the staff was always very welcoming and helpful. It was awesome that the food (breakfast and dinner) was served outside. In general I would recommend this place to anyone.

We had a wonderful stay at this very unique and beautiful accommodation. The room was cozy with a comfortable bed and good AC. The owners garden is large, filled with plants and beautiful flowers, the scenery is very picturesque. We loved the large and tasty Sri Lankan breakfast we received. Our host gave us many great tips on what to see in the area and also organised private safari tours for us to Yala and to Bundala. It might have cost a bit more but it was worth it, our guide Isuru was amazing! We totally recommend this place, it’s really worth a stay!

Kasun and his wife were really lovely. Incredible food, air con rooms with hot water. Food great. Did tour of national park and saw leopards. Then did Mirissa and to Colombo. Very knowledgeable and really enjoyed our whole experience.

    We recently had the pleasure of staying at this remarkable homestay tucked away in the heart of nature. From the moment we arrived, we were amazed by surroundings, all the beautiful details and the tranquil ambiance that enveloped the entire place. However, what truly made our stay unforgettable was the mesmerizing encounter with a resident crocodile. Karin and Santha are the loveliest hosts - it felt like family and we can’t wait to come back!
