Staying with Micheal was much more than just accommodation — it was an experience. A retired military man with a kind heart, Micheal welcomed us with incredible warmth and generosity. He introduced us to the authentic flavors of Sri Lankan cuisine, even showing us how to prepare traditional dishes in his own kitchen.
The highlight of our stay was the guided hike to Monaragala mountain. With Micheal leading the way, we explored breathtaking landscapes and learned so much about the local culture and nature through his stories and deep knowledge of the area.
His home is peaceful, well-kept, and made even more special by the presence of two lovely kittens that added a touch of charm and comfort.
If you're looking for something genuine and heartfelt, this is the place. Micheal is a host like no other.
