Susana was an amazing host, and little Arya too! They both warmly welcomed us with a wide smile, alongside some cute gifts, a cool Praxis beer and many treats for our dog... and a puppy bed that served as a soft pillow. It's not easy to find amazing stays that are truly pet-friendly as well. Location-wise, it's walking distance from Coimbra's downtown though it might still be better to use a car since it's a bit of a climb. There's a supermarket, a few cafés, and most points-of-interest south-west of the river close-by. The room has it own entrance and a small patio, which is convenient (Susana lived upstairs), and it was very cozy and well decorated. While it does not have a kitchenet per-se, it actually felt more like an apartment, and would be great for shorter stays or those looking to eat out more often (the city has tons of great restaurants). The microwave and coffee-maker should fulfill most needs.

We loved everything! Paula is such a kind and welcoming person who was attentive to our every need! We loved having her tell us about the history of Portugal, of Coimbra and also how she took a dilapidated, abandoned house and turned it into a gorgeous guest home with state-of-the-art fixtures and the most incredible breakfast!

I really enjoyed staying in this hotel. The room was big and clean, there was a little kitchen with all the necessary facilities to cook. The bathroom and shower are big and comfortanle. The location of the hotel is in the very center of the city. The beds are very cosy. I was absolutely satisfied with the price and conditions. And woukd definetely recommend this place to the guests.
