The owner was very friendly and had suggestions for things to do in the local area. We had to check in some 4 hours after we were meant to due to a flight cancellation, but the owner was cheerful and the later check in did not cause issues. There were common areas where you could use facilities including preparing your own food and drinks. In the light of day we could see the coast from the veranda of our room.

Amazing delicious breakfast in Cafe Saudade, spacious room, beautiful property, loved lounging in the drinks room, wished i could stay longer! Staff super helpful and friendly, helped me to book Quinta tickets online quickly as she anticipated crowd as Pena and Monserrate and Moorish castle were closed due to storm damage.

We had an upgrade to a top floor room. The view from one window looked towards the Atlantic Ocean, the other window up towards a 7th Century Moorish castle. Location is great, just 200 metres from the railway station and a shortish walk from the historic centre. Breakfast should be 11 out of 10, little dishes individually presented. Staff are very nice and make you feel at home. One of the best (and nicest) hotels we have stayed in.

Amazing stay in a beautiful, comfortable and well placed accommodation! Room perfectly cleaned and well furnished. Great hosts, very nice and welcoming.     The location was not too far of a walk from the bus station or the city center/beach. The house is very clean, nicely decorated, and had a full kitchen for us to use. It even had some cookies we could snack on! The bed was super comfy and we had an amazing view from our bedroom. Our host was very friendly and provided us with many non-touristy and authentic suggestions for food, drink, surfing and night life. He was a great host and welcomed us like friends! We would be so happy to vacation here again :)
