If you would like to discover the area, skiing, cycling and hiking are possible in the surroundings and the homestay can arrange a bicycle rental service. The spacious room was beautiful and comfortable. Coffee machine in room. Everything was clean. Modern bathroom with good shower. The bathroom is not en-suite, just next door, but it was not a problem as the guests are the only people on that level of the house. Very quiet neighbourhood. Parking space on the property. There is a bakery nearby, and also a very big Interspar just down the road, a couple of minutes' drive, can also walk to it, about 15 minutes. We ate at the Interspar cafeteria and the food was good - low prices after 4pm. Beautiful area next to the mountain.

We used the Gasthof Schontal as a base for travelling to and from Kitzbuhel for a days skiing and the Hahnenkahm races. A half hour drive takes you to Kirchberg in Tyrol where there is free parking and a free shuttle train which takes you into Kitzbuhel itself. Perfect
