Located on an 1848 historical site, just off the Great Ocean Road and 38 minutes' drive from Apollo Bay, Cape Otway Lightstation boasts stunning views of the Southern Ocean. オーストラリア最古の灯台に宿泊しました。私たちの部屋は、コーヒーハウスと同じ建物内に有り。目の前に海と灯台が見渡せました。部屋は、寝室とキッチンに分かれており少し狭いですが、快適に過ごせました。部屋横づけの駐車場は、荷物の運搬に最適でした。 キッチンはあまり広くは有りませんが、調理に必要なものは全て揃ってました。朝ごはんのパンやバター、ジャム、等は全て用意してありました。 又主要道路から十数キロ奥に入りますが、途中の木の上にコアラ、牧場にカンガルー、ワラビー等を見る事が出来ました。施設が閉館になると、なんと施設全体がプライベート空間になります。朝や夕方は、庭先にワラビーや鳥達で賑わいます。夜灯台は稼働してませんが、南十字星など星空が良く見え、素晴らしい夜空を堪能出来ました。 旅行の素晴らしい思い出となりました。
