L’hébergement Gabi's Wolfühloase propose un jardin et une terrasse. Really nice room with not just the basics but very thoughtful details like children’s books. The terrace is wonderful and though no breakfast available you can easily make your coffee or tea. Host super nice.

To be honest, I was quite afraid of booking this place based on other comments. However, I’m glad I did. The apartment is very new, about 5/10 minutes from the station. The furniture is great (there’s even a dishwasher). The automation system worked perfectly. Curtains inside and the sunblockers on the outside gives the perfect privacy. Everything you need to spend a couple of days in Mendrisio. 10/10. My only recommendation is regards to the check in process, which I had to reach out via WhatsApp to get the link to check in, but still they replied to me almost instantaneously, and I could check in without problems.

L’établissement Hotel Garni Centro vous accueille à Chiasso, à 900 mètres de ce lieu d’intérêt : Gare de Chiasso. This hotel is so cute and old-school in the best way! Just the style of it, the rooms and facilities are not old but updated and very modern. I loved the way it looked from the outside and the rooms are also in that style. The bed was large and comfy and everything was impeccably clean. You receive a welcome beverage from the fridge that you could drink on the big roof terrace after arrival to relax a bit. The breakfast was delicious and filling, with some different croissants and slices of bread, marmalade and a bit of cheese, coffee, juice and yoghurt. The best thing was the staff who were the friendliest receptionists I ever met. They gave so much advice on what to do and where to go, were patient with my Italian but didnt simply switch to English, which I heard they used perfectly with other guests. They also gave me a train ticket to use for free in Switzerland for two days, which was amazing! I went to Como for one night, which is only a 5 min train ride and then to Lugano in the morning of the next day while I left my luggage in the hotel. I preferred Lugano, but this hotel is perfectly located to explore both sides.
