It is in such a perfect area if your goal is the Great Wall. Quiet and so cute. I was the only one there so it was about but I can’t wait to go back. She offers meals so that takes out the hassle of where you’re going to eat. It’s really good food. Bring cash to pay if you don’t have any of the payment apps that are used all over Beijing. This is a must stay.

All units in the homestay are fitted with a kettle. Units are fitted with a private bathroom with slippers, while selected rooms also feature a balcony and others also feature mountain views. At the homestay, the units are fitted with bed linen and towels. the stay exceeded my expectations. both hosts are welcoming, enthusiastic, and down to earth. when we arrived, we discussed our travel plans with the hosts and they gave us plenty of helpful suggestions and even offered driving service. after exploring jinshanling the next day, the host picked us up, gave us a quick tour around gubeikou town, sharing the beauty and history of the town, then sent us to the train station. breakfast was authentic and delicious (loved the soy milk, 油炸饼, and 疙瘩汤). overall, this was a wonderful start to our beijing trip, with comfy place, thoughtful hosts, and beautiful surroundings. highly recommend staying here. 10/10.

Jack and Sue are the best hosts. The place is super nice, comfortable and clean. They will give you excellent recommendations of where to hike the wall and are able to drive you to start points. The food is incredible and I cannot say enough amazing things about this guesthouse.

A great place to stay to visit the great wall and experience a peaceful Chinese village. The entrance to the great wall is just a short walk. This section of the great wall is so quiet that we have the whole place to ourselves. It is also not very restored so you get to see some of the original wall. They also cooked fresh food from their garden for us. I have been to Beijing twice and did all the major tourist spots. I have to say staying here and hiking the wall in peace is my best Beijing experience.

The reception staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. We would recommend this stay for people who are backpacking or only need a few nights stay. There are washing machines and a tumble dryer on site which is very useful and the staff will take out the washing for you if you go out for the day. The location is a big plus point to this hotel with Lamas temple a short walk away, restaurants, coffee shops, casual bars and a metro stop. There is facilities to make up some easy food if you wanted to. The room itself is a satisfactory size.

The property has inner courtyard views and is 1.5 km from Wangfujing Street and 3.2 km from Forbidden City. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. 5 minutes walk from the Dengshikou subway station, on a quite street. Lovely staff that even brought me on an electric bike to the nearest ATM machine.
