I booked for 2 nights, but I liked it and extended a few times for about a week. It's located in a green and leafy tourist precinct, next to Botanical Gardens, about a 20 minute drive from downtown. I especially liked having so many trees and beauty around, quiet (hotel is at end of small pedestrian alley), and the manager is kind and helpful advice on many different topics (she can speak OK English, rare in Hangzhou). Because the hotel is small, sometimes other guests stop and chat with you, which I liked. There's also really a lot of restaurants and cafes around, including a couple of cool and delicious ones. I stayed in one of the top level attic rooms, it's quite small and low roof, but quiet. The weekends in November got very busy in this area with tourists and traffic jams - but it's still nice to walk and bicycle around. The manager helped me to rent a bicycle through my phone, thank you! Cosy and great value!

Vivian served as tea and snacks upon arrival, and provided a great breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended!

The stay experience exceeded expectations! The guesthouse is hidden in the mountains, and you can see the tea garden by opening the window, as if you are in an imaginary, ideal place separated from this world. In the early morning, enjoy a Chinese breakfast amidst the birdsong, and at night, soak in a pot of homestays and watch the stars. Every moment is full of poetry. The bedding is soft and skin-friendly, the bathroom is intelligent and convenient, and every detail shows care. The service staff are very enthusiastic and attentive, and the location is also very convenient, very close to the West Lake Scenic Area, within walking distance.

The lady at the reception was very kind: although she did not speak to much English, she had a device to translate. She did offer a welcoming wanton dish, truly tasty and well balanced. The bathtub was very enjoyable. This accommodation was within walking distance from the East Lake, and from the famous Dragon Tea plantations. The lady at the reception was very kind ad helpful with ideas, information and explanations about the place. I am very grateful to her

Really quiet district not far from Xihu. The Subway station is not that far, but the distance is not walkable. We mostly used didi (Chinese taxi) to get to the temples or parks. It wasn’t more than 20 yuan. Room is clean, facilities are new, toothbrushes are stylish. The street nearby is full of the restaurants. We found a really nice tiny family restaurant (where mostly locals eat). The food was great.

Location was as expected - in a quaint quiet village surrounded by tea plantations, a short walk away from the historic walks thru the area. The staff and owner were exceedingly helpful with accommodating our breakfast timing requests and breakfast was delicious. They also helped us book transport to Shanghai via a lunch stop Wu Zhen. The room was spacious, clean and modern with an amazing panoramic view of the village and plantation.

Set in Moganshan Scenic Area, July Bamboo Hostel offers free WiFi. Among the various facilities are a garden, a bar, on-site dining, gym and swimming pool. Rooms come with mountain views. It was quiet and peaceful. The hosts were very responsive and helpful!!
