The best sleep I had in ages!! Loved the balcony it was so peaceful. Ben and his family were so accomodating and friendly. It was a lovely touch for Ben to come to us and welcome us. And OMG the breakfast was just divine the best I have had from any where I stayed. So lovely pity it was so short but we hope to be back again 😁

It’s fun watching all the big boats go through the locks in the evening while having a glass of wine/ beer/ coffee -Honor refrigerator with beer and wine - rooms were good with very comfortable beds, nice tv, bathroom shower had good pressure and a shower mat ( thank you). Our rooms both had a balcony with table and 2 chairs - breakfast was very good..hard boiled eggs, assorted meats, breads, jams, fresh fruit, cereals, juices..etc..(10 euro per person) The breakfast area is light and airy - if Angela has time ask to see her collection of beautiful stained glass Tiffany lamps in the cellar!

Everything is right where it should be, all the little things add up and you get a feeling of being home. Of course the major things are also in place - its clean, tidy, the rooms are spacious, location is perfect, bike garage is there, parking places are there, outdoor lounge and sitting / relaxation area in a beautiful garden. Yes the floors are squeaky, staircase and stairs also - but this makes it so great! It’s an old, traditional house, actually palace since it’s part of the place premises. Breakfast is a threat - fresh, various, delicious. I can only say - go there!

The pension had very nice owner who took care of us in all kind of things. For example she booked the table for us in nearest restaurant and also arranged wine shopping in nearby vinotek that was not open normally. We had nice breakfast with owner made marmelade and bread as well other nice food. The room was clean and bed good. We felt ourselves like family members.
