We spent 2 nights at Hostal Itzalargikoborda and also ate both dinners and breakfasts there. The hostal is in a lovely agricultural area near a river about 2 km from Elizondo. There are 4 rooms only. Our room was comfortable with a private bath and good wifi. The host was exceptionally friendly and welcoming as was her husband. Dinner was excellent both nights. We had a starter, fish and dessert both evenings plus wine. They used to run a small restauarant until shortly before the pandemic, so know how to cook well. Breakfasts were complete--coffee, fruit, breads, yogurt, all served in a glassed in porch overlooking their property. We really enjoyed spending time in this beautiful corner of Navarra and exploring the nearby area, including a long hike in Senorio Bertiz.

The village is beautiful and everywhere you turned was beauty. The palace is like a museum with lots of history where you can roam and feel at home. You can walk the palace grounds where it's beauty will amaze you. The landscaping is immaculate. Our host, Jose was amazing! He met our needs and was full of information and was very kind. Breakfast was so delicious. Very satisfying and tasty.
