It was super clean, very comfortable, tastefully decorated and Valerie was the perfect host. Breakfast was also brilliant. I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Mind you, Lydie has a bohemian style, so if you aren’t into that, you may find it quirky. I absolutely adored the thoughtful originality! The tub/shower is open to the room, so bear that in mind. The bed is divine! The grounds are a lovely wild garden with a small pool hidden away. It’s complete peace. Now let’s talk breakfast! Lydie takes great pride in her carefully prepared breakfasts and it shows. You have a choice of sweet or savory breakfasts, whichever your preference, that she delivers it to your room. Her originality even extends to the presentation: jam served in egg cups and sugar cubes in a small Bonne Maman jar. ❤️ It is beyond sweet. Frankly, this is one of the most original and charming places I’ve ever stayed in. Lydie is amazing also. I can’t say enough about her understanding and flexibility. I messed up our reserved days and she completely went with the flow. Mind you, Lydie only speaks French, so if your French isn’t conversational, you will probably need a translator app.

L’accueil par la propriétaire: chaleureux malgré notre arrivée tardive, la maison récemment restaurée est décorée avec goût et élégance , la chambre spacieuse, cafetière, thé, La salle de bain où rien ne manque, douche spacieuse,. Le petit déjeuner est sublime, salade de fruits frais, assiettes de brochettes, jambon, fromages etc… présentées avec goût, croissant XXL, salade de fruits frais. Nous avons fait une super halte dans cette maison et reviendrons avec grand plaisir..

The location was really nice - the garden bordered on the vineyards, there was a small swimming pool in the garden surrounded by decking (ideal to cool off after a whole day driving), there was a communal table shared with the other guests and the hosts around food or if you had not reserved for dinner for the breakfast and chats with a glass of wine or whichever. The hosts were absolutely charming, they put some bottles in the fridge for us and we absolutely loved sitting around the table in the evening with them and the other guests. We also loved all the little decorations the hosts put in the room, the garden, having the possibility of a shared game room or somewhere outside the bedroom where you could sit on a table.

The well refurbished French farm is located amongst fields and vineyards. Whils the drive is a bit rugged, the views are lovely. We had a wonderful stay and we received amazing hospitality. The food was homemade and delicious. A big thank you to our host for being so welcoming and accommodating. The scenic town of Bully is a short walk away, it is a picturesque place with a beautiful Chateau.
