It is located in a private area in a lava field and is surrounded by low trees. It has a large common living room with an open kitchen. The host was cheerful and gave us information about the area. Lake Myvatn, the baths and the other attractions are very beautiful and worth the stay. Unfortunately when we went the Grjotagia cave was closed, but we were compensated by the other attractions.

It was the ideal spot to watch the Northern Lights, and what an experience it was! Watching the aurora dance over the lake was simply unforgettable—the absolute highlight of our entire trip! ✨🌌 The cabin itself was warm, cozy, and beautifully set up—just what you need for a comfortable stop while doing the Ring Road. Our host was very thoughtful and made sure everything was perfect for us. A special mention to the sweet lady at breakfast—she was so kind and took great care of us! We highly recommend this place and would love to stay here again! 😊🏡🔥

Quietly located 5 km from Iceland's Ring Road and 13 km from Lake Mývatn, this family-run guest house offers views over Sandfell Mountain. We loved our stay here. We were a group of 16 people, some stayed at the cottages and some others at the shared rooms. Bathrooms were super clean and modern, the beds were comfy and the facilities very clean. We had breakfast and everything was delicious. We even bought handmade sweaters at the best price we could get. Loved the farm vibe of the place.
