It was everything we hoped for and more. We got up at six to ring the bell, and it was really special. After that, Asami's husband told us that we were welcome to join the local residents in their morning exercise, and we did. It was such a nice surprise! We enjoyed the great sense of community here. Later during the temple experience, we learned a lot about the local temple culture. I would highly recommend their guesthouse to anyone interested in having an in-depth understanding of local Japanese communities.

The owners were so friendly and caring! It was such a lovely experience staying with them! If you want to have a relaxing day in a countryside area and just want to experience the laid back life there I recommend you to stay there. Besides it's not far to go to lake biwa by a little walking and to go to imazu to catch a ferry to chikubu Island.

The owner, Fujiwara, left us wanting for more. He picked us up from the station and gave us a tour of the city, as well as bringing us to a supermarket to get some food for dinner and breakfast the next day. He was incredibly sweet and helpful. The house was beautiful and the city was quiet. We could relax completely. We have nothing else to say but thanks, and we will come back!

L’établissement Jonni`s Place vous accueille à Sakamoto, à respectivement 14 km et 15 km de ces lieux d’intérêt : Temple Enryaku-ji et Temple Shōren-in. Jonni est un hôte fabuleux et attentionné. Plusieurs cafés autour. C’est éloigné de Kyoto, mais ça se fait très bien en train, et l’éloignement est un point positif dans ce cas. Sakamoto et Otsu sont de belles banlieues interessantes.
