Really a wonderful place. I actually decided to stay in Sendai for another day because the guesthouse was so lovely. The guesthouse is nice and cozy, but the staff, the guest, and the general atmosphere were incredible. Everybody was so lovely and friendly. The location is not very interesting, But it's about 15-20 mins from Sendai Station (10 mins train and 6 mins walk), and it totally worth it. Highly recommend.

The space is clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a garden and a traditional storehouse. It’s not suitable for a rushed one-night stay — ideally, you should spend 2 to 3 days here to truly experience the architecture and lifestyle of the old house. The building itself is of historical value, and its previous owners have interesting stories. Simply put, you can think of this place as a small museum. Additionally, Murata Town, where it’s located, is also well worth a visit.

L’établissement est proche de la gare, tres pratique pour faire pleins de balades à pieds. ~35 min pour aller au lac, ~70 min pour aller voir les gorges. Les lits sont vraiment confortables et bien grands. De plus il y a un onsen a 3 min à pieds qui permet de vraiment bien se relaxer après une bonne journée. Le gérant est vraiment adorable, il n’a pas hésité à nous conseiller pleins d’attractions à faire autour de l’auberge !
