The owner is very friendly and helpful. She showed us places where we could eat and gave us a map with the bus timetable. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfy. I think it was my best sleep in any hotel I have ever stayed in. There is also an electric heater under the futon, if you need one. Just like other reviewers mentioned, In the morning we were given a breakfast that was not included in the price. It contained meat, bread, multiple vegetables and fruits. Again, the best breakfast I ever had.

We really felt so welcome and everything was made available to us to make our stay wonderful. Very helpful, gave us a lot of information so we could easily navigate the area in no time, even drove us to town to start exploring. She made us tasty breakfast free of charge, asked what we like and it was no problem that we are vegetarian. Look up ikkigai – that's what you experience there in action.

We had not chosen to have diner there (bad decision because I believe it must have been amazing) and they suggested to make a reservation for us at an excellent restaurant nearby. The breakfast was served in a very cosy and homey feeling living room and it was a classical western style with eggs, bagels etc which was exceptional! I have nothing but wonderful words to say about this experience. Totally recommended! I would like to revisit and spend more time there. Thank you for everything

The location was perfect as someone who hiked Mount Nantai earlier in the day. It was raining during the hike so the shoe dryer and other amenities provided were very helpful for drying all my stuff. The beds were comfortable and everything felt very clean. The staff were also very friendly and helpful (thank you!). I came on a Saturday and stayed one night, surprisingly I was the only guest staying in the female dorm so I could sleep very comfortably.

Our host Yoshi went absolutely above and beyond to help us make the most out of our (very) short stay. Going even as far as driving us to an amazing waterfall that is hard to reach by bus. Yoshi even prepared our itinerary for the next day and gave us a ride to the station. Yoshi was extremely nice and we were extremely grateful for all the help he. I would recommend this to anyone in a heartbeat. The guesthouse itself was amazing but Yoshi and his amazing reception is what will stay with us for a long time to come.
