Our host Mario was very accommodating! Easy, friendly check in. Everything we needed in the room. Hot showers, comfortable bed, very large space, impeccably clean, coffee maker with coffee and tea. Our host gave found us an amazing breakfast restaurant and a ride to the airport. Could not have asked for more.

The host gave us some nice advice as it was our first day in Mexico. We’re coming back here when we have our flight back home.

We absolutely loved this place! It really felt like home. Octavio and his mom are wonderful, we also loved Luca, their dog. We loved all the art in the house, everywhere we looked, someone had spent time making it from bathroom curtains to mirrors, the sink, place mats, paintings and sculptures, it's like everything was made specifically for this place. We especially loved the painting of the shark in our room. The location is 2 minutes from the beach and it's in a gated community, we felt safe at all times, even on the beach. The breakfast was exactly what we wanted as well. We also got some local recipes using the jamaica flowers while talking with the hosts that I can't wait to try!

Wonderful views of the Laguna Bacalar! The owner, Horacio, is very helpful and informative - he even gave us a Lonely Planet of Yucatan for free. A walk from the town center, but fortunately there is a very good restaurant nearby the Amigos Hotelito. It is expensive for Mexican standards since - with its heavenly lagoon - Bacalar has become a highlight in Yucatan. The price is right for the location.
