I loved everything about the stay from the host to the location and everything in between. Well thought out supplies and guide about the location making you feel so welcomed! My visit was for study purpose so couldn't really get to explore the area, but I would love to go back and if at all I am back I would love to be in the same property!!

Rooms are average, although in a bit rough shape (torn mosquito nets). Overall the check-in and check-out are really simple and there's a parking space. The owner was quite friendly.

There was a duvet on the bed but also an extra blanket and heater was available if required.The ensuite was also a bonus I thought the host was fantastic and made me feel welcome in his home. I travel a lot and usually stay in motels, but as a solo traveller it was great to engage in interesting conversation including his work as a scientist Overall I really enjoyed my stay. I think it was great value for money and highly recommend It Cosy I would definitely book again next time I’m in Gisborne
