He walked with us to the significant pachamama and pachatata and explained the culture behind. His wife cooked amazing food, love especially their soup and trout!! His daughter taught us to make simple bracelets that was really fun and beautiful to have something handmade to bring home. The room is very quiet, clean and comfortable. I slept very well 2 nights. Always hot water for tea and coffee. Hot shower is hot! View is spectacular. I do recommend staying at least 2 nights to feel the tranquility and peace on the island.

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. This was probably my favourite stay in all of my travels across Peru, Bolivia and Argentina. I had a really special stay, dare I say a spiritual experience on the 8th of the 8th. Communication with Jose Louis and family was great from beginning to end, there were enough activities offered to make the most of the time, with also opportunities for peaceful solo time. Pilan’s cooking is incredible. Highlights were the sunset from the mountain, joining in the community dancing and fire ceremonies in the plaza and just the general chats with the family around the dinner table with the other guests. I felt so welcomed, warm and at ease - this was my home away from home for a night, I wish I could’ve stayed longer. It takes special kind of people to make you feel this was so thank you Jose Louis and Pilan and family for welcoming us to your beautiful home.

Isaac is a wonderful Sir and his wife as well funny, nice and makes great piece of art with her hands like pillows covers etc. room is large, food is great, breakfast fantastic and their care, attention and professionalism are to the top. Situated 2.2 km from Estadio Enrique Torres Belon, 1.7 km from Bahia de los Incas Boardwalk and 2.5 km from Deustua Arc, casa SKALA provides accommodation located in Puno. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The homestay features a sun terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. The room and the bathroom in such a good shape and new condition! Super clean and most importantly very nice and hot shower(had to wait few mins tho until it warms up). You might think you are far away from the central but there is a minivan that cost 1 soles takes you straight to central part within less than 10 mins and it comes so frequently that you will never have to wait! Big plus for letting us stay without a problem in the place for the whole full day (as we had to get the bus at night to Cusco). Very quiet location!

Diego was on hand as a tour guide, and with heaps of knowledge, he showed us Amantani. Ilda, his sister, and mum Juana delivered amazing local food, dish after dish of local food. With comfy beds topped with llama blankets, we had an exceptional stay. From sharing English phrases for Quechua with Ernesto to drinking local tea, watching the sunsets, to hiking the local trails, I can not recommend enough.

Housed in a building dating from 2002, this guest house is 43 km from Deustua Arc and 43 km from Pino Park. Huajsapata Hill is 44 km from the guest house and Carlos Dreyer Museum is 44 km away. The host is very kind and friendly. She is always happy to help and tries to provide all the information you need. Even though my Spanish wasn't very good, she used Google Translate for effective communication with me. I was supposed to stay only one night, but my stay was extended due to my flight cancellation. After dealing with the stressful situation at the airport, she gave me a warm welcome when I returned to the hotel, which made me feel at home and relieved. Also, the location is great. For instance, there are some markets and a mall within walking distance. It takes about 10 minutes to get to Juliaca airport by taxi and about 15 minutes by colectivo (route B-1).

Set in Puno, near Bus Station and San Antonio Church, MADA Guest House Puno "Hospedaje" is a recently renovated property, featuring, a terrace and shared lounge. It is located 1.1 km from Plaza de Armas Puno and offers a concierge service. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond. I had an injured ankle and they organised a doctor and nurse to come out. Our room was on the third floor and they brought me breakfast up to our room so I didn’t have to climb down the stairs. The room was very comfortable and clean.
