Absolutely Exceptional Stay – 10/10! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found a gem! The location could not be better – easy parking right by the property, just a pleasant stroll into town, perfectly situated for exploring the entire island, and conveniently close to a large supermarket. We always felt completely safe here, which added so much peace of mind to our holiday. The cleanliness is simply impeccable – everything spotless and fresh, every day. The entire place is beautifully organized, with a layout that makes it feel both spacious and homely. The kitchen is especially well thought out: each room has its own assigned table, cupboard, and set of plates, utensils, and cooking items, which keeps things wonderfully neat and easy for everyone. And then there is Catarina – what a host! She is truly the heart of this place. Warm, sincere, and full of genuine care, she puts her soul into making her guests feel welcome and valued. She visits daily to tidy and refresh the common areas, replace the flowers, and, more often than not, surprise guests with delicious homemade or local treats. She is thoughtful, adaptable, and always ready to help – whether it’s offering great local tips or simply checking in via message to see if we needed anything. We felt so looked after and appreciated her kindness enormously. The property itself feels like a peaceful haven – quiet, comfortable, and infused with warmth and charm. Everything here has been designed with the guest’s comfort in mind, and you can feel the love and pride that goes into it. We travel often, but this stay will remain a highlight for us. If you’re looking for a spotless, perfectly located, safe, and beautifully run accommodation with a host who truly cares, look no further – this is the place! We would return in a heartbeat.

Located within 13 km of Pico do Carvao and 25 km of Sete Cidades Lagoon, Solar dos Cantos Botanic House & Garden features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Ponta Delgada. A hot tub and a bicycle rental service are available for guests. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service. Absolutely astonishing place! Everything was amazing. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The pool and jacuzzi are a dream and the place was immaculately clean. Rooms are also very nice and the peace you feel is a great experience. It’s definitely one of our new favorite places to visit!

It is situated 26 km from Sete Cidades Lagoon and offers bicycle parking. The accommodation features a shared kitchen and private check-in and check-out for guests. Nicely done, good location (convenient for whale watching trips from Ponta Delgada), fully equipped kitchen with free tea, coffee, snacks and fruit, big room and comfy bed.

Some units in the homestay have private entrance and are equipped with desk and wardrobe. With a private bathroom fitted with a shower and slippers, units at the homestay also have free WiFi, while certain rooms also offer a balcony. At the homestay, units are equipped with bed linen and towels. Beautiful and large renovated property with a lot of history, still run by the original family who owns it. The large garden is super peaceful and perfect to recharge after a day of hiking in S. Jorge. Everyone at the property was super kind, welcoming, and thoughtful - from D. Graça, the owner, to André and Catarina. Truly a special place that I would recommend without hesitation, and the favourite among all the places we stayed at during our two weeks in the Azores.

The property features pool and garden views, and is 24 km from Sete Cidades Lagoon. The accommodation provides a sauna, free WiFi throughout the property and family rooms. highly recommend staying at Solar de Santos André! I was lucky to stay there 4 nights (3 in the studio and 1 in the appartment), it is really a beautifull place! The house is a museum in itself, you can feel that history took place in those rooms, the 'library' is incredible and the kitchen is a dream. Eduarda will give you lots of tips and advice on the island, and if you wish she will tell you the story of the house. You trully feel at home and in a cocoon within the city. The breakfasts are awsome (thank you Maria as well :) I'll be back for sure!!

The property is situated 17 km from Sete Cidades Lagoon, 18 km from Lagoa Verde and 20 km from Lagoa Azul. Lagoa do Congro is 44 km from the apartment and Portas da Cidade is 13 km away. Fairly new exceptionally clean apartment style villa. The owner was more than helpful answering questions and providing for our needs such as an early breakfast and information on restaurants. The room had adequate kitchen equipment to allow you to make easy meals. A large grocery store is a short distance away. The kitchen had a few basic herbs and spices that you could use. It was very quiet with a secure locked entrance after 5:00 that each guest had a remote to be able to enter.

The guest house offers city views, a sun terrace, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. We liked the central location of the apartment. Everything was clean and well organized. The house is huge so we didn't mind other people staying there at the same time. The host was very hospitable and kind. He helped us call the taxi to the airport and let us leave our bags longer due to our evening flight.

I want to recommend this accommodation to everyone who comes to the azores! A great accomodation and an even grater host! He really cares for your wellbeing and for you to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! He provided us with every help and assistance, from tips where to go out for dinner to rainy-day-program, with bath towels for each day and even bathtowels to go to the hot springs (which are a must do in our opinion but thats another story) The room was very nice, clean and had everything we needed (thanks for the anti-moskito-plug! Made our nights very peaceful). In the shared area is even a fully equipped kitchen, there is coffe and even a garden to sit outside and enjoy breakfast. Locationwise you can get to the city center via a short walk, there is one excellent fish restaurant down the street and you have a parking opportunity suitable for mainland europeans ;) Everything you need is close by.
