Boasting an infinity pool and views of pool, Quinta do Monte Travesso - Country Houses & Winery is a guest house set in a historic building in Tabuaço, 25 km from Douro Museum. Guests staying at this guest house have access to a balcony. The guest house features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. We had the most wonderful retreat to the Douro hills at Quinta do Monte Travesso. We stayed in the 1 bedroom cottage which was close to the main vineyard buildings but still super private. The views are stunning, and the garden with a little pool, hammock, lawn and lots of seating areas was the perfect spot to lounge in the sunshine. The fridge was stocked with breakfast things and fresh bread was delivered each morning. We barely left the Quinta as it was the perfect spot to unwind. We had a wine tasting with the winemaker which was fascinating and delicious. The bed was super comfy and everything was high quality and in good condition. We’ll definitely be back.

This recently renovated guest house is located 35 km from Douro Museum and 46 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. The guest house has family rooms. The hosts were amazing. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyinging ourselves. Her breakfasts are delicious. Make sure you go with a big appetite! And the pool was very refreshing. I truly cannot think of one negative thing to say. (Except my husband would say the bed was too hard.) I would gladly return. If I could give 6 stars, I would. The photos don't do this lovely place justice.
