The hike in and out is absolutely stunning, full of ocean views, cliffs, forests, waterfalls, and rainbows. The guesthouse itself is very cozy and welcoming. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the dinner and breakfast we had were delicious. The lake is close by and the walk along the ocean is gorgeous. The staff is very kind and we enjoyed getting to know them!

Our room was clean with excellent air conditioner. It’s located in the small town area by the ocean. The ferry is very close and in walking distance. We took it to Pico to spend the day. The breakfast is nice with various breads and local cheeses which I love. There is also fresh fruit… coffee and tea. The tourist office is nearby and they offered various tour guides. The cute parks nearby have WiFi as well as the hotel. There is a natural swimming pool very close by as well. I think this is an excellent choice hotel for this island.

Beautiful property on the coast in Queimada surrounded by nature (great star gazing on a clear night) and with a direct view of Mount Pico and Faial. Absolute tranquility, first class installations and very kind and helpful hosts.

The house is very clean, the room we booked comes with a nice private bathroom, and we could also use the kitchen. The hosts waited for us at the port, as our boat was late, explained the most beautiful points on the island, and helped with our car rental, and found a taxi for the faja hike we did one day. In the evening we had very nice conversations with Rui the uncle, while listening to the most fantastic cries of the cagarro birds flying above our heads and the nearby rock - it is one of the most memorable things from this island. The house is 15-ish minutes walk to the center of Velas, as well a big supermarket. The whole town is very safe and pleasant. The island is very beautiful, with some dramatic scenery, and our most honest advice would be to stay longer on Sao Jorge, if possible. The faja hike is one of the most pleasant and enjoyable hikes we have done.

Grounds were well taken care of. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
