First time I stay at a place that is actually better than the photos! Absolutely incredible place, our best in Zanzibar by far. The villa in perfectly maintained, the chef’s food is best we had so far. Ralu and Lee and very welcoming. Really really recommend.

The location, right on the beach. The garden settling overlooking the sea is very relaxing where you have a perfect view of all the fishing activities. The coconut fish curry we had for dinner was excellent. All the staff are very friendly and helpful - where you felt it was more like a home and you were not just another number passing through. I liked the massage from Caroline - healing hands - very thorough. It is a nature inspired designs.

This was the best shower we had after a month travelling East Africa, the kitchen staff do an amazing job and even cooked us a banquet on our last night! Cocktails were also delicious. We swam in the ocean at high tide and at low tide the pool was great to cool off. Beth was kind enough to organise a mangrove tour one day and a spice and stone town tour on another day for us. If you are looking for a relaxing, friendly, welcoming place to escape the islands tourism scene then look no further!

The rooms feature trendy and minimalistic design and the beds are draped with a mosquito net. There is a safety deposit box and the private bathrooms are fitted with a shower. I can’t describe how impressed I have been with this place. Each and every staff member have gone out of their way to make me feel comfortable and happy. Food is delicious, staff are attentive and friendly, accommodation is clean and comfortable. I was even upgraded to the beautiful beach house as it was available during my stay. Each room here will provide you with air conditioning and a terrace. Private bathroom also comes with a shower. The hosts, the food and the service were exceptional. Helwas is a small family hotel with a great, friendly atmosphere and top accommodation. We were group of 5 and we had amazing time at Helwas! Located in Nungwi, on the quieter north east coast of Zanzibar, Game Fish Lodge is situated along the beachfront and features an in-house restaurant, bar and a sun terrace. Free private parking is offered on site. This place is really amazing. It’s like a little quite paradise not far from most overturist places in Zanzibar. The view to the ocean is beautiful, also you can swim in nice and clean pool and there is a sandbank nearby. If you want to swim direct you will need watershoes. In Game fish lodge you can relax in privat and enjoy nice atmosphere. If you like big hotel resorts, many people and activities at hotel, this place is not good choice for you! Actually we felt like at home there and it was because of the owners. Lesley and Colin are really special people. Very friendly, kind, with true passion to their job. They dont want only take your money, they really care about yourself and want to your holidays was perfect. We really apreciated so many good advices which we got, and also so many interesting informations about Zanzibar and living there. We definetely recommended to taste a delicious diner. Also the breakfast was very good included local fruits. The room was simple and clean with enough space. Unfourtunatelly we had a short time here, wish to come back one day.
