Tran Chau Garden Home is such a lovely place to stay, and we cant recommend it enough. The rooms are simple and nothing luxurious, but you will get world class service from this lovely family. The food is excellent, yet prices very low. They even serve you a herbal foot bath in the evening - included in this extremely fair price. They helped us book our cruise in the bay which we loved, and also transport from and to Hanoi. Everything was very professional and personal! We would definately stay here again.

Breakfast is true Vietnamese cuisine, so be ready for a taste adventure: sticky rice, pumpkin porridge, bao or banh mi with Vietnamese coffee. There's a decent beach 15 minutes' walk away.

There were friendly cats and dogs on the property as well as some cute kiddos. Also on the day of my solo hike, the owner texted me in the evening to make sure I had gotten out of the woods safely - very thoughtful!

Thanh and her lovely family genuinely care about their guests—she was especially thoughtful and attentive to my partner when she wasn't feeling well. Thanh made our stay stress-free by helping arrange anything we needed: laundry, scooter rentals, bicycles, taxis, boat tours, bus tickets, and fantastic local restaurant suggestions. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully tailored to our preferences. We enjoyed our stay so much—and there's so much to see and do from Cat Ba—that we even extended our visit. If you need anything during your stay, just ask Thanh directly. She genuinely wants guests to feel at home and comfortable, and she'll happily assist you straight away rather than having you wait or struggle with anything. Highly recommended—this homestay is outstanding value and truly welcoming.

A good location for a relaxing holiday in Cat Ba, Cat Ba Central Homestay is a homestay surrounded by views of the garden. The property features a garden, shared lounge and parking on-site among other facilities. With city views, this accommodation provides a patio. We had initially booked the room for one night, but decided to stay for another night just because we loved the place so much! Very comfortable, large and airy room with a balcony and a nice view, delicious breakfast for a great price (40k/person), and the owner was soooo helpful and hospitable. Best stay we've had in Vietnam! Place is conveniently located on a side street, so it's quite quiet, and only a short walk from the main gulf - we actually enjoyed the walk and being away from the noise. Hope to be back sometime.

We stayed two nights at Homestay Cat Ba Santorini and it has been a very pleasant experience. The host, Mr. Tien helped us arrange both transport from the pier to the homestay and from the homestay to our next destination and the communication prior to our arrival has been great. The property is very clean and our room was the same. It was very spacious on two floors with more beds than we needed . The location is also very convenient and there are a lot of restaurants nearby and a few minutes from Cat Ba Town center. They also have a restaurant but we did not have the chance to try it. We had a great stay and I would definitely recommend it if you are visiting Cat Ba!

Viet took care of everything — from renting scooters and organizing a boat trip to helping us book transport for the next stop. The pool area was lovely and relaxing, breakfast was tasty with good coffee, and the quiet location made it perfect for unwinding. We couldn’t have asked for more!
