Hostels in Saas-Grund

The customer service was very friendly, hospitable, and flexible to our needs. I was on a long trip and asked if I could use the laundry, and they accommodated me, although they said it was not a regular service. The spa was great and this place even has a training room and swimming pool. I have other favorite accommodations in Saas-Fee, but I would stay here again next time.

Breakfast was great and made the stay good value. Room was warm and cosy with a nice balcony and comfortable bed. Beautiful view of the mountains out the window.

Because of some weird issue with my debit card, I realised that I couldn’t withdraw any cash in CHF in ATMs, whereas card payments in CHF were going through just fine. I wanted to have some emergency cash on hand. I asked the kind lady at the reception whether she could give me a bit of cash if I had paid using my card. Well, they aren’t a bank and they had no need to help me out in that situation. But she spoke to her manager and did help me out. I wouldn’t have faulted her if she had said no. But I really appreciated her help. That alone made me rate the hostel a solid 5. Even otherwise, the hostel was great. Some might think that the hostel is located a bit too far from the station and quite uphill. But, after the first time when you’re tired dragging your heavy luggage and all you want is to just reach your room and take a shower, it is actually a nice walk where you get to enjoy the beautiful views, wooden houses and narrow streets. The breakfast is excellent. Loads of calorie-filled items to keep you energised for a long time during your day. If you had opted for dinner, it is good too. Quite a bit expensive at CHF 19,50. But then, this is Switzerland. The 4-bed dorm was comfortable. I felt that the number of showers and toilets were a little too less. There were just 3 of each in my floor. I liked their locker system - it was spacious and uses a 2 CHF coin to give you the key. You insert the coin and the key comes out. You insert the key and the coin comes out. Overall, I enjoyed my 3 nights stay at the hostel.

High cost performance, affordable. Apartments can be equipped with a fully equipped kitchen

Facility is great. Good option if you have a vehicle/rental car and plan to go to Zermatt but not stay in the car-free village. The restaurant down below is so handy and the food is excellent! The staff especially Daniel are the best.

The beautiful view, everything was near and available, calm place and pleasant for walking.
