Hostels in Chengdu

The common grounds, bathrooms and dorm was always clean, the bed was cosy and felt isolated. The hostel arranged Social activities like dumpling party, going out for hot-pot and movie night. The common areas was very good for concentration on work. And a good place to enjoy a coffee in the morning and a beer in the evening.

Staff at reception was wonderful and extremely helpful to get me wherever I wanted to go. Dorms are a good size, beds comfortable, bathrooms clean, showers hot water anytime of day. Everything was good, and I will be back in the future

The atmosphere is very lively. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of foreigners which is something odd in China. I highly recommend it.

Helena speaks English and is very kind. You can apply for tours to Jiuzhaigou and Tibet. However, I can only understand a little English, but she explained things to me many times until I understood. This is the first time I've ever met a hostel staff member who has done this for me. She explained things to other guests really carefully, even outside of working hours, without any unpleasant expressions. You can contact her on Wechat. Her replies are quick and accurate. I was limited in time, so I decided on a tour before arriving at the hostel and was able to go on the tour the next day. During the tour, she was worried about me and sent me messages, and she always cared about me, so I felt very safe during the tour. The other staff at the hostel are also smiling, calm and nice. There are many toilets where you can hang out your laundry. It's clean and cheap. There is a convenience store nearby. It's a great hostel. I recommend this hostel! I love Helena! Thank you so much.

Staff speaks good English. The place was clean and comfy. Great location. Good hot pot across the street.

Very nice place, room big, clean and confortable. Quiet area and good breakfast, I totally recommend it!

Good value for money. Good modern room (we had a private room and bathroom). Great location, although hard to find. Helpful staff. A lot of activities within the hostel.

Wei on the front desk reception is one of the most helpful and efficient people I have dealt with on this whole trip. His approach to the guests is very positive and helpful and he is an exceptional asset to the Nova Hostel team. I first entered the Nova hostel at the beginning of Golden Week when it was exceptionally busy and chaotic! After a few days the whole placed settled down a bit and I personally met several Chinese guests from different parts of China who were All very interested, polite and helpful to several of the foreign guests staying there. I stayed in a 6 man dorm, a 4 man dorm and a single/double room on my last night before getting an early morning Didi taxi direct to Tianfu Airport. All the rooms where a very good price. The showers and washing areas are great. The location is superb with several local family food kiosks and a well priced 24hr supermarket just across the road. I left my large suitcase at Nova hostel when I did a five day visit to Songpan Ancient city and there also Free lockers to use. For the fitness enthusiasts who might be reading this review. Then there are some hand weight dumbbells to use and plenty of space to exercise. And also a large table tennis area with bats,ball All to use for free. I used Chengdu as a base whilst I went to Chongching, Zhangjiajie and Songpan and stayed in a few different hostels. I will be booking in at the Nova Hostel with Wei again on my next visit. Overall, I have found China and the Chinese people Outstandingly helpful, kind and patient and I am looking forward to my return very soon. Thank you Wei for your patience and help! Shaun. Excellent. I spent 6 nights in the hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The hostel is near the Metro, from the Fuqin station, exit A1, you walk about 700 mters to the hostel.

The girls at the reception were super helpful and kind!
