Hostels in Grays Thurrock

After being to 14 hostels in London, I can tell that The Birds Nest is the best value for money of the city and an amazing place to stay! The hostel is right in the heart of Deptford, with bus stops, DLR, overground, restaurants, markets, supermarkets and many facilities around. And it'is a 10 minutes walking to Greenwich - a great area to explore! I chose it because I was going to Maroon 5 show in The O2 Arena, and it was the closest one! What a wonderful surprise! I loved it! The rooms are charming and big enough, with lamps and individual sockets on the beds, plus the curtains, which give you lots of privacy, the closets are in the space of each bed - a great place to put your luggage safely. The wifi is great, the doors are opened with codes and magnetics. The kitchen is well equipped and it has a tv. It's a small hostel, but extremely cozy and functional. And there is a wonderful pub with nice drinks and prices, a vibrant atmosphere! The best of everything is that you feel at home here. The owner Joe and the managers Stoyan and Raf do all their best to keep the well-being of the guests. They are very friendly, helpful, Kind! Joe, the owner, is really a amazing host! A real gentleman! When he gets to the hostel you know immediatly he is there, because everything shines around!!! So everybody (staff and guests) start to run, because they want to go down and say hello to him! I confess that I've never seen something like this in 20 years of travelling life. INCREDIBLE!😄🤩 Thanks so much, Joe, Stoyan, Raf and the whole staff! I was really happy here, my heart is broken now I'm leaving and I do hope to come back soon!

Great hostel, comfortable and soft bed and pillows, the room is very clean. there is a refrigerator, kettles, microwaves, and even an iron for use. The bathroom and toilet are very clean. very quiet and nice area, overall I really liked it. and most importantly, there is an adapter from English to European electrical outlets.

A perfect stay in Lewisham! The place was fully equipped and very comfortable — we truly felt at home. The owner/staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially for travellers. The area is peaceful, beautiful, and well-connected with many nearby facilities. Easy access to central London. Affordable and truly worth it!

I stayed here over Christmas and new years celebrations last month and enjoyed it so much that I decided to book again for a few days It’s always lovely and clean with fresh towels and hand soap to use The staff are always friendly and welcoming and do their best to make sure everyone is happy With access to a kitchen and a bathroom and living room it is the perfect place to stay when in south east London It’s the best hostel I’ve been to and the prices are very affordable Looking forward to my next visit soon

Nice receptionist. Good workers . Location is perfect. Just a stone throw to my uncle's place. Supermarkets and restaurants are very close. Just in front of a train station, London Bridge with 7 to 8 minutes.
