Sweet old building with a great kitchen, or reasonably priced restaurant if you don't want to cook. The rooms were basic but absolutely did the job. The view out the back is beautiful.

Situated in the Cumbrian countryside, conveniently located to visit the Lake District, YHA Helvellyn has on-site free parking and a bar.

The location is beautiful, felt like a real adventure. All the staff members were incredibly nice and helpful, we truly felt welcomed. We were surprised to find out that there is a bar that offers a couple of meals – a great bonus since it is quite far to walk to a restaurant or shop. We paid extra for a breakfast, which was very good and felt like good value. There were also games we could borrow in the dining area to pass time in the evening after a hike.

The breakfast was good. The location is excellent. The staff was very helpful. The weather was amazing.

Absolutely amazing location and beautiful building and gardens.
