So many amazing details here, this really feels like a home base. The kitchen is incredibly well-equipped and spacious, you can make simple or elaborate meals. There's a spice rack of 20+ seasonings, sunflower oil, olive oil & garlic provided for free. Breakfast has a lot of options, and they serve a cake every day at 5pm. There are lots of great areas to relax in, the terrace has a beautiful view of the volcanoes and equipment for a basic workout or yoga practice. The beds are super comfy, I really appreciated having two pillows! There are curtains on the bunks and multiple sockets by the shelf with a light and a little fan. The showers have soap and moisturizer. Also great WiFi for video calls. It's definitely not a party hostel, (it feels like a place where people come to relax for a few days+), but everyone is still friendly and chatty. I extended my stay twice!

The space felt very home-y. There were plants all over the place and multiple bathrooms. It was nice to feel like I was staying in a home rather than a hostel. It was very cozy and still felt private because the rooms were spread out. The rooftop was beautiful. Breakfast was amazing and the women serving the breakfast were even better. Very nice and welcoming. The front desk staff were also super helpful. This was a refreshing place to stay after spending time in a more traditional hostel prior!

We had a really nice stay at Mazaryk. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable for a great price. It’s quiet and out of town but not too far walking distance. The kitchen was great to cook your own meals in and there’s a nice terrace to chill and watch the sunset on. Really friendly staff who went above and beyond. The hostel is gorgeous. The terrace has a lovely view of the volcano, and it has plenty of spots to chill. WiFi is strong. Beds are incredibly comfortable. And the complimentary breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Overall, one of the best hostels I've stayed in my life!

The hostel just recently opened. It is super clean, everything is new, the bed was very comfy, the staff was so helpful and friendly with all my questions about shuttles, tours etc. the property has a beautiful courtyard and two lovely rooftop terraces (perfect for yoga ☺️). They allow to store luggage during the 2-day hike and use the shower afterwards even if you do not stay with them anymore. Included breakfast varies every day. Has a coworking space, games to play and library as well.

I really enjoyed my stay at Central Hostal, one of the nicer places I’ve stayed on my travels. Really nice back garden where you can chill or chat with others. They also have a roof top area which is handy for yoga and exercise. The free breakfast pancakes and coffee are delicious and free bread and tea in the evening was such a nice extra touch. The staff are amazing, they do anything to help and are so accommodating and friendly. The kitchen is good with any equipment you need, a fridge to store food and filtered water. You can arrange tours from here, leave your bags here overnight if you hike the Volcano and you can arrange shuttles here to other areas for good prices.

Adra hostel in Antigua is really nice. It is just a short walk away from the city center but when sitting on the rooftop Terrasse you have a nice view of the volcano and feels like a little oasis. The dorm rooms are quite big with a lot of beds in three stories but the beds were comfortable and through the design still felt private if you put a towel up. If you don’t want to go all the way up, I would recommend asking for a bed on the bottom when booking. Depending on the bed you stay in you might have to put you luggage around the corner but they do offer lockers. The showers were really good with good pressure. I’ve had a lot worse in a hostel and you always see them cleaning. You can get a hair drier and even a hair straightener at reception. The place includes a free breakfast. It differs a bit from day to day but in case on that day they have everything you get scrambled eggs, bread, bean paste, pancakes, salsa, bananas and fruit with yoghurt and a coffee or juice. It’s not a lot but very nice and a good start into the day. The Terrasse is quite spacey and nice and while we were here they were renovating it partly so I think it’ll be even nicer. They also offer your booking and a laundry service. I can definitely recommend staying here.

Central location. We booked with very short notice due to another accommodation falling through and they not only accepted the booking but also gave us an early check-in! Great customer service. Shared bathroom facilities and room were clean and good value. Room was also very nice.
