The house itself is not new but it’s not old, impeccably clean with everything you need and parking on site. The hosts were absolutely delightful and helped us with restaurant choices. For 2 days I was literally alone, it was super quiet. You have everything you need if you want to prepare your meals. She even recommended me a very cute cafe you should visit right next to the hostel: ユータウン with a very cute indoor garden and amazing pancakes. We had a long trip behind us with some fancy hotels and we felt so much better in why kumano than in some other places. It was great to meet some of the other guests and everyone was really kind. Clean and nice showet. Nice staff. The hostel is right by the train station so it was very convenient as I was taking the train early the next morning. I came from Nachi (Kumano Kodo) and the bus stopped right outside the hotel. Cheap, nice hostel if you need a place to sleep in Katsuura.Guest review byBirgitSolo traveller
