Everything about my five-night stay at the Socco Hostel was fantastic. The staff, breakfast, the view, the vibe ("vibe" is not a word I use in my everyday vocabulary, but here it expresses my impressions of the Socco!), the location, everything about it exceeded my expectations! There was a wonderful mix of generations - there were several guests from my generation (ahem - "boomer") and of course, young people just beginning their journies. I enjoyed talking with so many people, more than at any other time during any of my travels throughout the years. I am usually more solitary, but everyone, staff and guests alike, was so welcoming it truly was like being among old friends.

Location was a bit hard to find and had to ask some people where it is then as usual they asked some money for helping. No cool. I stayed in an all female room which is so nice. Laundry is not possible here as there’s no place to put laundry. I initially booked this place hoping to see the same roof top like in the picture, but it’s not. Just old chairs and tables and no huts. Haha so you don’t expect as well. The view is not at all by the ocean, it’s still far away from the ocean with few ugly roof. If you plan to get pictures and videos of the ocean from here, don’t. Find another place closer. Also this place is not recommended if you are travel with a car, parking is soooo expensive, there are time limits and you need to move car to another location, really exhausting and all just time wasted.

The propriety was amazing, the vibes, the people that was there, the staff and all that is around the hostel, I met great people that was traveling solo as well and we got together to visit the city and experience a lot of things around the city, I had the best experience ever on this hostel, I highly recommend it due to his great atmosphere that make you feel like home. And I would like to thank Mouad for his great tips and suggestions!

Liked this place in Medina so much. Despite the fact, that some guests was a bit noisy (so my recommendation to provide a rule for hostel about quiet hours). The owner very supportive answers in all your question and helps in different situations. Did I mentioned a terrase? It maybe the best what I've had in Morocco. No bunk beds, towel, good price, what more could I expect. Thanks!

Staff is amazingly friendly, welcoming and go the extra mile to help you with whatever you need. So sweet and warm hearted. I really appreciated their help in arranging taxis in the wee hours, they went so far as to walk me to the taxi stand and wait with me at 4am! Also recently opened hostel, so bunks beds are comfy and new.
