The interior design is very interesting, the lounge was unexpectedly inviting. fully equipped kitchen, you can cook and have a coffee in the morning.

Everything was perfect, the staff, Where is located, the vans were SUPER clean, the different areas… I recommend it without a doubt

Ghent Christmas Market is 700 metres from De Draecke Hostel, while Design Museum Ghent is 200 metres from the property. The city is quite large and contains lot's of crossings, however there is a connection directly from the Train station (bus station near the train station), therefore it is manageable. Should you wish to take the train into the city, there is a stop not far from the hotel and you can get a shared city card for certain number of travels. Breakfast is the standard one with toasts, tea/coffee, therefore I would not call it rich, but is good to consider to start the day. In the city there are options to eat the breakfast for sure, however most points of sale focus on chocolate, waffles and sweets in general. At the reception you can get the city map that helps a lot to move around the city, which is another positive of this place.

Board games are available at the hostel and guests can enjoy kayak rental. The best hostel ever. The staff were amazing they're so kind, helpful and funny :) The room was super clean and we had amazing view of the city with historical places. The toilet and bathroom were shared but still they're clean. They have a nice bar that you can spend time there and interact with other people. Also, they have some free walking tour that you can travel around and get information about the city. They have lockers for super cheap price that you can store your bags or small luggages if you need it before check in or after check out. If you have a big luggage, they will be still helping you somehow with it. Location is also great, in the center and you can go everywhere by walking. I really liked it and if I will have a chance to go to Ghent again, 100% I would stay there :D
