Our children (ages 4,9 and 11) all loved the playgrounds and treasure hunt hike up the mountain. This was a very family friendly lodge and we hope to visit again! Everyone who works here is friendly and compassionate.

Hostel Engelberg was a great place to stay with kids. Great breakfast, great restaurant downstairs, great view of the mountains when you can see them through the clouds. Could not be more central. The owners are so friendly you could not ask for a better stay. Price to value of Hostel Engelberg cannot be beat in Switzerland - at least the parts that I have seen.

Located in Engelberg, 500 metres from the Titlis Rotair Cable Car, Engelberg Youth Hostel features a buffet restaurant and a summer terrace. A ski school and the European Walking Tours Office are reachable within a 2-minute walk. Rooms are big and clean. One has a little place above the bed, so they can put some of their stuff there; which is wonderful. Windows are big and have a nice view, toilets are clean, a more than filling breakfast is included. Nothing to complain honestly, recommended to everyone!

Located right on the shore of the scenic Eugenisee Lake, Pension St. Jakob is 800 metres from the centre of Engelberg and a 5-minute walk from the Engelberg Cable Car. All rooms have a balcony overlooking the mountains, and free WiFi is available. Clean, pleasant room. Good breakfast in the restaurant opposite. The hotel reception is located in the hotel opposite Espen. If the reception is closed, use the emergency phone.
