At the hostel, all rooms are equipped with a terrace. Super cozy place, both the private room and dorms (tried both). In a quiet alley in the old town, serves good and fairly priced food and most of all very accommodating owners - helping and giving advice and also really nice to just talk with them. Would always book here when I’m in Shangri La.

Jacky’s place was awesome and Jacky himself went above and beyond. He speaks English which is so helpful. He picked us up at the train station in Jianshui. His place was very nice and our room had a view of the terraces. He is also an excellent cook - we ate all but one meal there for the 2 days we stayed and each meal was exceptional. He gave us an itinerary for our half day in his village and we went in the rice terraces it was awesome. On our way out we were going to train to Xuishuangbanna but he said a bus would be way faster and dropped us at the bottom of the mountain to catch the bus. Would recommend to anyone.

We have a comfortable stay at the Guest house. Location is very convenient, room is comfortable and the owners are very helpful and friendly. They gave us good tips and help to arrange transportation for our tiger leaping gorge trip.

Yi's Hostel is a 10-minute walk from Guishan Park and Moonlight Square. Walking Street is a 15-minute walk away. The host was very kind and gave us good recommendations on food and things to do. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast they serve in the lobby was yummy as well, especially the banana pancake with honey!

The property is around 1.1 km from Dali Zhangjia Garden, 2.9 km from Dali University and 1.4 km from Jiang Gong Ci. Staff on site can arrange a shuttle service. Awesome place! Perfect location in the ancient city. There is a nice cafe in the hostel with Yunnan specialty coffees and indoor / outdoor seating. Rooms are very clean and there is even a Western style toilet. Hard to find in Yunnan. Staff speaks some English as well. Very helpful with directions to different attractions around Dali.

Though not fancy, it is so special and our favorite . The location is perfect too.

I loved having a single room in a hostel, play pool, talk to the friendly staff, there is a lot of space and a nice rooftop to take photos of the sunset. Easy to walk to the green lake to chill.
