Beautiful (and hard) hike, beautiful location and everything just right for a hard to reach national park lodge. Great food, great staff, comfortable yet old cabanas. Very communal, great for backpackers as well as ex-backpackers that want a comfy private room :)

Boasting a restaurant, Magdalena Beach House is set in the sidewalk in Los Cocos. and also provides a bar and a garden. Guests can enjoy ocean and garden views. This place was a perfect stay whilst visiting the Colombian North Coast. The whole team: Maria, José & Marjorie were so welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout. The location is ideal for a short 5 minute walk to the Los Cocos beach which is beautiful, quiet with a few food options on the beach and others close by. There are also various day trip spots nearby such as waterfalls, Tayrona National Park, Palomino and tubing a short bus or mototaxi ride away. The rooms were a great size, really comfortable with amazing facilities. Our room looked out onto the sea whilst also being nestled nicely within the jungle environment. They also offer a laundry service which was great. The price was affordable and over exceeded our expectations. Thanks Maria, José & Marjorie, we will be back to visit again for sure.

The location is superb,putting you inside the park and relatively close to the trailhead. The property and surrounding environment are beautiful. The birding there was better than it was on the trails. Titi monkeys visited and four macaws are regulars. The host family is super casual, friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are tasty!

The location is magical - road is through the jungle crossing several streams and rivers, I spotted some special birds on the way already. The hostel is gorgeous with unique view of the hills and forest, spent the afternoon staring at the view and effortlessly spotting birds. The cabinis wonderful for nature bathing,mosquito nets worked well, good facilities. Nice food, beautiful pool and common areas. Great food and coffee plus - they seem to support and promote local community which is wonderful. Absolutely loved this place and recommend it to everyone looking for a wonderful time in nature.

Amazing location jungle hostel with an amazing set of hosts. The vibe is chill with some social energy still possible. The pool is superb and the overall place is one of the best values I've found in Colombia. It is a jungle hostel with immersion into the jungle, it will be hot and with mosquitoes. I was looking for this kind of place, and it was better than expected.

Lola was very helpful with options for activities and spoke beautiful English, a help to us with very little Spanish skill. The location near the east entrance of Tayrona Park was close enough that a Mototaxi can get you there. The beach was clean and for the week we were there it was swimmable; the currents can get bad enough to close it for swimming. There is the Mendihuaca River 5 min down the beach that was good for shallow swimming and cooling off. Lots of food options near the hostal; hostal breakfast was simple but very satisfying. Good fan in our room and mosquito nets.
