I loved TamaHostel! I visited several hostels in Central America in the last months, and this was by far my favorite. The beds are comfortable and the dorm rooms have AC, the pool and hammocks amazing, the kitchen and bathrooms are practical and cleaned continuously, and the staff were super friendly and helpful! They can organise surf classes if you want :)

Set in Hacienda Santa María, 23.7 km from Miravalles Volcano, Santa Maria Volcano Lodge Hotel & Restaurante offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The genuine kindness of our hosts was really moving.... Letting us taste different types of juices...helping us to plan our visit to the volcano areas and helping our son who had a skinburn on his arms. The lodge itself is very authentic. The garden benefits from more than 40 years of carefully maintenance with lots of love..with flowers and trees you think you find yourself in a botanical garden. Hummingbirds are flying around your head during breakfast. And finally...the food was gorgeous...homegrown vegetables and fruits and produces such as ricotta cheese..very royal quantities...your own grand mother would not have spoiled you so well. Thanks for the lovely stay and memory
