Just a few minutes’ walk from Fort Augustus on the edge of Loch Ness, this award-winning lodge offers four-star hostel accommodation with free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. Fort William is 30 miles away. Had the veggie dinner as well as the breakfasts. All excellent. Many people were cooking their dinners in the well-equipped kitchen. Room was quiet, clean and cozy. Lounge area offered a great opportunity to meet other hikers and cyclists. This was my 3rd time staying at Morag's! Staff amazing and helpful.

The room exceeded all our expectations. It definitely worth going there and spending some time near Loch Ness. The room was clean, nice and very tidy. There is a river right out of the window. The place outside is very beautiful. We also bought a breakfast - which was very tasty and it was a wonderful start of the day.
There is also a common kitchen with everything needed - so even without ordering breakfast you have a place to cook your own food.

Great location. Free and safe parking. Old World comfort - looks fantastic. Reception greeting was excellent; explaining everything we needed to know. Staff were lovely. Both rooms were good - clean, warm (with additional heater). Food at the restaurant was very tasy and the range of whisky was a delight. Prices were not too high. Breakfast the next morning - buffet, with a good range of well-cooked food to compliment the cerals and fruits and yoghourts.
I stayed here for one night while travelling to Skye. Great location - just a short walk into the centre of Fort Augustus - with plenty of free parking. Good facilities with meals/ breakfast available and a bar in the property which gave a good opportunity to meet fellow travellers. I stayed in a four bed dormitory which had its own bathroom/ shower - would have been ideal if travelling in a small group. Great value for money and everything was spotlessly clean! Would definitely recommend.
It's probably the best hostel kitchen I have ever used and seen. Plently of pots, pans, and cooking trays. There's even some communal herbs and spices to use. Ovens and stove stop aplenty. They also have some cup noodles and bits like that to buy on site. They do offer laundry service. Right on the loch if you are brave enough to swim and a beautiful location. Good atmosphere, clean and nice staff/volunteers.
The best hostel I've ever stayed at, 5 stars 🌟
Best hostel I went in Scotland. The employees were so nice and friendly. I had the best time there. I was there only for one night and I wished I could have been there a little bit longer. The night I was there, the staff organized a Scottish dance night party, It was so nice. It's the best hostel to meet people.
Warm and comfortable. Double bed super comfy. The bunk beds were a bit hard but probably more suitable for kids 😂 Great location - short walk to supermarket and the Loch Ness Inn for dinner. Communication from owner was excellent.
Great location, food available and a pre agreed time, safe parking
After staying in self-catering accommodation it was great to be in a hostel with a lot of like-minded people - a woman up from London running a marthon, a group of German climbers, everyone in love with the outdoors - lots of great books for free. We had a good, cheap and hot dinner - my veggie haggis was great - and breakfast set us up for the day. Great location close to Fort Augustus - perfect for seeing Loch Lomond and as a stopover on the way from Skye to Loch Lomond. Friendly laid back atmosphere much appreciated.
